C.L. Shredders was formed in the mid 1980's by Chris Luton.

Originally the company specialised in relatively small, office based machinery to securely shred sensitive records in-house. Word soon spread and this led to a larger client base and more diverse equipment was soon finding it's way into the workshop.

The basic principles involved with shredding single pieces of A4 paper in an office apply to shredding tyres and pallets (just on a much grander scale!). From the start (in a small lock-up) to the present (a huge facility with workshops/storage and engineers out on the road) CL Shredders has had one overall aim... Customer satisfaction. Whether you are looking to purchase/rent new machinery or maybe have your existing shredder repaired or serviced you have come to the right place.

Shredding machinery forms the mainstay of our business. However for many clients the material needs to be handled both before and after it has been shredded. We therefore also deal with conveyor systems (to deliver material to and away from the shredder) and balers (to compact the shredded material and make it easier to store and transport). If we do not have the machine or system for you in stock we can design and fabricate one-offs and custom installations in house. For even more specialised needs we can call on our partnerships with local engineering firms. We deal with a huge variety of machines. Why? Because there are so many types of materials to shred and just as many reasons to want to shred it.
